How we build product
We aim to build in a way that is pragmatic, collaborative, and focused on learning and outcomes.
We ship in small increments and learn quickly from real usage
We validate problems through customer discovery and use data to guide decisions
We prioritize clarity, usability, and quality over complexity
We keep processes lightweight and focus on what helps the team deliver better outcomes
We care about sustainable delivery — for both our customers and our team
The role
We’re hiring our first Product Manager to own our flagship flow metrics and forecasting product: ActionableAgile® Analytics. This product helps customers improve delivery predictability, understand flow, and forecast outcomes without estimation.
This is a Product Manager role first and foremost. Your primary responsibility is product discovery, prioritization, and delivery outcomes — guiding the team toward shipping valuable improvements early and often.
You won’t be starting from scratch in this role. You’ll be joining an existing Product Designer who is already deeply involved in our products and also contributes in the product management domain. The two of you are expected to work as a tight duo — deliberately coordinating and dividing responsibilities across discovery, prioritization, and delivery — so that together you cover the full spectrum of product management and product design activities. You’ll collaborate closely with our Growth and Retention teams to ensure features are communicated clearly.
You'll report directly to one of our co-founders. English is our working language, and we are currently hiring candidates located in Sweden.
Location
Our office is located in Malmö, and we welcome both hybrid and remote candidates based in Sweden.
If you work remotely, we expect you to travel to the Malmö office a minimum of once per quarter for team collaboration and planning.
What you’ll do
As Product Manager, you’ll be accountable for the outcomes and quality of the products you own.
You will:
Become a subject matter expert in flow metrics, forecasting, and the products you manage.
Build a deep understanding of customer and user problems through research, data analysis, and regular interaction.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and customer experience to define solutions and iterate quickly.
Scope work into the smallest valuable increments to enable fast learning and frequent delivery.
Define and track success metrics for releases across EAP, beta, and general availability.
Use both qualitative and quantitative insights to guide prioritization (adoption, usage, retention signals, feedback).
Ensure releases meet a high standard of quality, usability, and clarity.
Communicate product decisions and plans clearly — internally and externally.
Partner with Marketing and Customer Experience to ensure features are explained effectively across:
product UI and messaging
documentation and guides
demos and collateral
Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and evolving market needs.
Support customer interviews, visits, and occasional trade shows (as needed).
What success looks like (first 6 months)
A strong hire in this role will, within six months:
Establish a consistent cadence of customer discovery (interviews, feedback loops, research synthesis).
Build strong working relationships with engineering, design, and customer experience.
Identify and clearly articulate 2–3 high-impact product opportunities backed by evidence.
Ship meaningful improvements in small increments, learning quickly from real-world usage.
Define and track success metrics that guide decision-making and reduce guesswork.
Improve clarity and usability for customers through better UX and communication.
Help strengthen how product decisions are made at 55 Degrees (lightweight, pragmatic processes).
About you
We’re not looking for a specific background so much as a strong product mindset and the ability to work end-to-end — from problem discovery to delivery and learning.
You’ll thrive here if you:
Enjoy working in a bootstrapped, high-ownership environment.
Prefer clarity and impact over heavy process and status meetings.
Like balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Are comfortable making decisions with imperfect information and learning quickly.
Care deeply about usability and building products that reduce stress for real people.
Want to help build product practices as the company grows.
Your day one qualities
2+ years experience as a Product Manager working on software products (SaaS preferred).
Experience working in an agile environment, partnering closely with engineering teams.
Strong skills in customer discovery and user research (interviews, testing, synthesis).
Comfort working with data in systems like MixPanel — able to use metrics and qualitative insight together to make decisions.
Strong product sense: ability to weigh tradeoffs and advocate for simple, intuitive UX.
Strong communication skills: clear, structured storytelling in spoken and written English.
A self-driven, entrepreneurial approach — you don’t wait for instructions and can operate with ambiguity.
Experience producing product content such as documentation, presentations, or release communication.
Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
We’ll be excited if you
Experience with B2B products in the work management / agile / delivery / analytics space.
Familiarity with Jira / Azure DevOps ecosystems.
Understanding of forecasting, flow metrics, or operational analytics concepts.
