How we hire at 55 Degrees
So you’re interested in working at 55 Degrees? That’s wonderful! We are always looking for strong additions to our team.
To put it plain and simple, we are passionate about finding genuinely great people. This is why our approach to hiring can vary slightly. We recognize that every applicant is unique, which is why we formulate an interview process that provides you the opportunity to showcase your best self.
After submitting your application, you can usually expect to hear back from us within a few working days. The rest of the process is outlined below.
1. Screening Call
If your profile catches our eye, we’ll invite you for a screening call. This is your chance to put your best foot forward, and tell us a bit more about yourself. Not to worry though- this isn't an official interview! It's a casual chat to exchange some information, and to see if it's a good fit on both sides.
2. Interview
Here, you’ll meet your potential manager and HR, either in person or via video call. We’ll do a competence-based interview using scenario-based and behavioral questions. It also includes role-specific questions tailored to see how your skills match the specific tasks and qualifications needed for the job. If the role is a developer position, we also review a technical test or problem that was sent to you beforehand.
3. Final Interview & Office Visit
Here you'll meet the executives and some of your potential co-workers. This is an opportunity to get a feel for the office culture. Plus, you can check out our cool workspace and meet some more of the 55 Degrees team.
4. The Offer
At the end of the day, this is what it’s all about. You can expect a decision from us within a few days after the previous step.
